Avrupa Newspaper: “Tatar Asked For Mansion”

In their headline on the morning of the 23rd of November, Avrupa Newspaper in the north of Cyprus writes: “Tatar Asked For Mansion”, detailing a statement by Turkish AKP party’s MP Bülent Turan regarding the recent announcement that a new “Presidential Palace” would be built for Turkish Cypriot Leader Ersin Tatar. 

According to the newspaper, Turan stated that Turkish Cypriot Leader Ersin Tatar was the one who proposed the erection of the new building while answering the questions of the opposition during the “parliamentary general assembly”. According to the newspaper, “Tatar saw that Turkish President Erdoğan was uncomfortable with the current palace and proposed to him that a Presidential Palace fitting of Cyprus  should be built”.
