According to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Cyprus, 165 new Covid-19 cases were identified on Wednesday out of 3,291 laboratory diagnoses.
Details are as follows:
59 of the cases were identified out of 608 samples gathered through a tracking process of already confirmed cases.
68 of the cases were identified out of 1,540 samples gathered through a private initiative.
16 cases were identified out of 254 samples gathered by Microbiological Laboratories of General Hospitals.
5 cases were identified out 414 samples gathered as part of passenger and repatriated control.
15 cases were identified out of 242 samples gathered by Personal Doctors and Public Health Clinics.
2 cases were identified out of 148 samples gathered under the control program of students, teachers and school staff.
With this new data, the total number of cases at the island has now reached 6,461.
Furthermore, along with this news, the Ministry of Health informs that an 89-year-old man also lost his life due to Covid-19 becoming the 4th loss of life attributed to the disease today.
With this new data, the total loss of life attributed to Covid-19 has now reached 33.
