Covid-19: North Cyprus Introduces Ankle Bracelets

The administration in the north of Cyprus have taken a new step in order to combat the spread of the Covid-19 virus by introducing ankle bracelets to be worn at their homes by all those that arrive from overseas. 

As per news sources in the north of Cyprus, the new measure officially took effect on Monday after a rise in the number of cases over the past couple of weeks.  The total number of monitory bracelets will be 1,700 with the number expected to rise to 4,000.  Those that violate the regulations will be made to pay specific fines.
