Owner of Restaurant in Famagusta Fined 5000 Euros for Violating Covid Measures

As per the Republic of Cyprus Police, a total of 8000 checks were carried out over the weekend in relation to the violation of measures created to combat Covid-19.

According to the Police Spokesperson, 9 premises and 125 people were found to have violated the set measures with 33 of the 125 violating the curfew measures by circulating after 23:00.

Furthermore, one of the 9 premise violations was an owner of a restaurant in Famagusta who was promptly fined 5000 Euros for having more people in the premises at the same time than it should of had based on the size of the premises.
